Happy Liver Transplant Anniversary!

Alec! here's to celebrating another year of life with you! If I may be honest and very direct. . You would not be alive today if it weren't for the sweet soul that saved your life by being an organ donor. I am so grateful every time I wake up in the morning knowing that I get to have another day with you. I hope you really reflect on what you have been given, and what we have been given. We have had a wonderful time these last two years making life even more fun and meaningful. I am so excited to welcome another sweet soul into our family in June, and a part of me will always thank your organ donor for giving you more time here on earth so that we can have our family. I love you to the moon and back! Happy Liver Transplant Anniversary! xoxo Megs

  1. Yea... my son has been out of transplant for 11 years!!! Congrats!!!

  2. Alec & Megan,

Neither of you know me, I found your blog through the utah liver families blog. I am a graduate student at BYU, my name is Carie Eastman. I was diagnosed with PSC about 2 years ago.

Anyway, I am working with the American Liver Foundation to try to get a branch of it here in Utah. We're having a BBQ on May 19th at Rock Canyon Park in Provo from 6-9pm. I would love to meet you both and get more of your story. I've never met someone with this disease, and would love to ask some questions about your experience with it.

Let me know if you can come that night or meet up some other time. Thanks!
